Nutria Marina is a gorgeous, tranquil marina and ecolodge located on the banks of the Rio Dulce, right
in front of the historical Fort San Felipe.
Our location and facilities offer a silent
and peaceful atmosphere ideal for relaxing and feeling the renewable
energy that nature provides.
We are only minutes away upriver, from
the town of Fronteras; where you can find the bus station, restaurants,
bars and more.
The private cabins of our ecolodge
are all attractive and inviting, each one decorated with unique natural
artwork. They have their own bathroom, mosquito net, fan and a porche with
a comfortable hammock were you can read, rest and enjoy the beautiful
view of the river.
Another option to stay in touch with nature
is the dormitory with shared bathroom, and access to the rest
of the property.
For socializing or relaxing you can also use our spacious open-air ranch or for nightly bonfires our fire pit.
Our marina includes two new docks for a
short or long term mooring of your sailboat, with 110/220 volt
electrical outlets and water supply, so you can enjoy all the
luxuries of your own boat while docked in a safe and comfortable
place. We also have a generator for backup power supply.
A spot at the dock gives you access to the ecolodge property and
all the common areas, including the showers next to the river,
hammocks scattered around the property and the little ranches
for reading or resting.
Beside the marina, there is an area where
you can soak up the sun and the scenery. This dock is also an
excellent place to swim because the water in front of the property
is safe and clean.
Cayucos, the traditional dug-out canoes,
are available free of charge to tour the river or visit nearby
Fort San Felipe. Small row boats are also available for rental
if you want to zip into town for supplies.
Nutria Marina offers free pick-up and drop
off for our guests at both sides of the river. We can also take you to the most beautiful
places in the area at very reasonable rates.
